Just got The Enchanted Map Oracle Cards, and did a reading about what I needed to know about a relationship between me and a man that I am attracted to. The spread I used from the book was a 3 card layout.
1. The past influence-34 Spark reversed
In the past I was allowing myself to be consumed by my feelings for him. Also, I was allowing my "fire" to be doused by others that didn't want me to be all that I could be. I needed to move away from the situation so that things could die down and I could see if there was a true spark between us or if I needed to light a fire at another time.
2. The present point of vantage-26 Deep Freeze reversed
There is nothing I can do to change the present situation no matter how much I try, push, manipulate or cajole. Life wants me to take a break from him. I need this before I become exhausted and are forced to take a break. What I need will be there in the springtime. For now, winter has its own ideas for me. I need to wait for the signs of spring.
3. The probable future destination-10 Rock Bottom
In the end, as difficult as it may be to accept I will have reached a point where I can go no further in the same manner in which I have been doing things. The old way of doing things must be discarded fully in order to move onward and upward. A new direction and new strategy are called for.
The only way out is through surrender. I need to accept things as they are and that I have no idea what to do next. If I wait in that heartfelt moment of release, then a stairway will appear, like magic and all manner of synchronicities will show me the way to higher ground. The Rock Bottom means that a miracle is about to occur but only if I let go completely. From this I get the feeling that I need to give up the idea of a relationship with this man, but someone better will come into my life if I open myself up to meeting someone new.
